This meeting has been approved for6 hours of MLEP/SFI credit for each day. You need attend only one day.

Addressing Relevant Region Issues That Matter To You.

  • A regional, national, and global outlook for the forest products industry
  • The latest lake states region forest-related research
  • The alternative energy transition—energy providers of the region will discuss the local and regional policies driving the energy transition and its implications
  • Rural economic development – economic development professionals will discuss challenges and opportunities of attracting businesses to rural communities
  • Updates from Lake States Region association leaders on recent local and state policies impacting the forest products industry
  • Other presentations include workforce development, innovative wood products, federal mature and old-growth forest policy implications, and public lands timber programs

The event will additionally include a site visit of the Louisiana Pacific Innovation Center and a reception and dinner to recognize the FRA 2023 Lake States Region Outstanding Logger of the Year.
