A mail survey was conducted in spring 2022 to assess the status of Minnesota’s logging sector during 2021. Jobs in the Woods Act 118th
The bipartisan Jobs in the Woods Act was introduced by Congresswomen Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR-5) and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA-3) to address the labor shortage impacting forestry and related industries. The legislation would create a grant program for nonprofit organizations, state governments, and colleges to utilize workforce training in forestry-related fields. Read More ...

Northern Forest Birds Network 2023 Conference
The Northern Forest Bird Network will return to Ashland, Wisconsin on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 17-18 for a conference focused on Forestry for Birds in a Changing Climate. This conference is intended to benefit and bring together a diverse group of foresters, biologists, land managers, and researchers.
